The AoM team consists of a wonderful group of people. We all strive to remember names and faces, details of our client files, what's important and why, as well as the sometimes difficult life issues which impact our client's day to day activities. It starts with a pleasant voice on the other end of the line, a personal client meeting where we get to know each other, establishing a set of expectations, and friendly and professional service from all team members. We minimize the apprehension of meeting the accountant, and maximize the relationship aspect for our clients.

Judith Avery – Chartered Professional Accountant, CA – Founder ACCOUNTANTS on MAIN

As a Chartered Professional Accountant, Judith provides tax planning and compliance, assurance, and advice to a varied base of clients located in the GTA and beyond. She represents her clients in dealings with CRA and takes the fear out of the process. 

Having owned and operated her own retail businesses for over ten years, Judith has both operational and financial experience. Dealings with financial institutions during times of refinancing or loan requirements are also part of her repertoire.

Currently, she is Treasurer on the Halton Hills Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors in addition to being Chair on the Board of Directors of South West Energy and a Board member for Halton Hills Community Energy Corporation, subsidiaries of the Town of Halton Hills, including being a member of the Audit Committee.

Between 2006 to 2010, Judith was actively involved with Downtown Georgetown as Director and Vice-Chair of the Downtown Georgetown BIA (Business Improvement Association), as well as sitting on a number of committees including the successful application to the Ontario Trillium program. Read more from Judy.

Anita Valvasori – Chartered Professional Accountant, CA
Anita joined the AOM team following fifteen years spent in a Toronto-based public accounting firm. In addition to her extensive experience in audit for corporations and foundations, Anita brings with her dedication to the highest standards of professionalism and customer satisfaction.

She is committed to understanding the unique needs of each client, and working with them to develop solutions to their personal and business accounting needs.

After graduating from the University of Waterloo Accounting Program, Anita received her Chartered Accountant (CA) designation in 1999. She is a resident of Halton Hills and is proud to volunteer time with local community organizations.

Sheida Kernc - Senior Staff Accountant
Sheida received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Wilfrid Laurier University. She went back to school in 2008 at Sheridan College and received her Honours Business Administration Advanced Diploma in Accounting in 2011. Sheida joined the ACCOUNTANTS on MAIN team in October 2012. 

Working in an accounting firm allows Sheida to become acquainted with many different businesses and business types.  It has allowed her to develop knowledge of the inner workings of client files. Sheida has developed a proficient skill set in QuickBooks, and enjoys assisting staff and clients with their bookkeeping and year end needs.

Sheida is currently enrolled in the Chartered Professional Accountant program and wrote her CPA exams in Sept, 2017.  

Patricia Daleman - Senior Staff Accountant

Patricia arrived in the Toronto area from the Bahamas in the mid1980s.  From there, she attained her Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Computer Information Technology from the University of Guelph.  She then attended Algonquin College becoming a Red Seal chef.  After owning and operating a bookkeeping company, Patricia joined the AoM team in the spring of 2015 and hasn't looked back!  Currently, Patricia is a CPA/CGA finalist having completed course requirements and logged many hours of practical accounting experience.

Rarely does Patricia have a spare moment.  She is an active community member being Community Treasurer for Special Olympics Georgetown and Treasurer for First Acton Scout Group after being an active leader with the Acton Scout Group for ten years.  Other than camping in all four seasons (except summer), Patricia enjoys living healthy and spending time with her husband, four children and fur baby Cruiser.

Tracy Robinson - Senior Staff Accountant
Tracy joined the AoM team in 2017 after nearly twenty years’ experience in a combination of public and private accounting.  Most recently she spent seven years managing an accounting department in condominium industry which produced over two hundred sets of financial statements monthly. Her experience includes: accounting firms, condo industry, manufacturing, management, leadership, payroll, WSIB, large variety of accounting software.
Her career was built on the foundation of an Honours Business Accounting Diploma in accounting in 1998, continual learning over the years, and continues to date as she is currently working on CPA designation with expected completion in 2020.

Tracy has a passion and love for life, and when she is not working away at numbers she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children and two step children camping and family fun activities. In her own time Tracy spends time neutering her lovely garden, reading and working out.

Shona Ryce - Office Administrator

As an Office Administrator, Shona is responsible for supporting two Executives and three Senior Level Accountants at Accountants on Main. Shona is a skillful and dedicated assistant with extensive experience supporting Executive level staff with a high degree of efficiencyShe is a self-motivated, proactive, detail oriented assistant with a multitude of experience in all capacities of the administration industry.

Shona’s skills include a demonstrated capacity to provide comprehensive support for staff; coordination of travel and the scheduling of meetings, and managing all essential tasks, while at the same time, maintaining excellent communication skills, time management, problem resolution abilities, and a high-level of confidentiality; thus enabling her to prioritize and have a multitude of projects and events on the go.  Shona has a solid understanding of administrative practices with excellent computer proficiency in software: Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet & email systems; and also familiar with accounting software: Profile and Caseware and Quickbooks. These skills have enabled her to prioritize, multi-task and work autonomously under minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. 

Prior to her current role, Shona served as an Operations Manager and Human Resource Generalist, sometime juggling the two, in the cellular industry for five years until an acquisition closed the company doors in 2016. Shona joined Accountants on Main in January 2017.

Shona is a jack of all trades with a college diploma in Office Administration specializing in Legal, Human Resources for Small Business Certificate, Lean Six Sigma Certificate, Microsoft Office Specialist Certificate; while still eager to continue to educate herself.

Shona has a love for the outdoors, including sports activities, if she is not in the gym working out or camping with family and friends she is cycling (summer and winter), ice-skating, dogsledding, swimming or out exploring some new adventure.
